Rethymno and Crete

Rethymno has a rich history, evident within the facades and buildings of the old town.  The Prefecture from the north to the south coast is spectacular with its mountainous landscape, wonderful beaches, which are all easily accessible. It is well served with accommodation to suit all budgets and many restaurants and village tavernas serving local and international dishes.

Travel , transport and accommodation

There are direct international flights to Crete, (Heraklion and Chania), otherwise via Athens. Overnight ferries ( Anek Lines and Minoan ferries) link Athens, (Piraeus), with Heraklion and Chania.
Rethymno is well served by bus links from the ports and to other parts of the Prefecture and island. Mini bus, car and motorbike hire are easily available.

We will provide transport to our selected work sites.
